How it works:
Electro-hydraulic disc brakes are usually mechanically braked by springs and released by an electric hydraulic component (called a thruster or thrustor). This thruster is a low-pressure centrifugal pump driven by a three-phase electric motor.

Maintenance cycle
Regular inspection
The brake must be inspected periodically at intervals of one month. Basic inspection items include the flexibility of the manual brake release lever, the flexibility of the plunger, whether the plunger head is loose, the rust condition of each surface, whether the red paint is loose, whether the braking torque is sufficient, whether there is black carbide on the surface of the brake hub, whether the brake pad thickness is less than 3mm, etc.
Maintenance interval
The maintenance interval of the brake is 6 to 8 months. During this period, more in-depth inspection and maintenance work is required.
Shock pad replacement
After every 800,000 times or one year of operation, the shock absorber pads at both ends of the brake should be replaced in time, and the internal parts and sealing conditions should be checked to see if they are intact. If the sealing ring is damaged, it should be replaced in time.
Long-term storage inspection
If the traction machine is not used for more than 6 months and is stored in a humid environment, the brake should be checked for rust before use. If rust is found, the relevant parts should be replaced.
Brake shoe clearance check
Brake shoe clearance should be checked frequently during normal use. If the clearance exceeds 2mm, it should be adjusted in time to avoid affecting the braking force.
Check on time
The disc spring assembly should be checked every year or after 500,000 braking operations.
