Structural features
The brake usually includes brake drum, brake shoe, brake friction plate, pull rod, adjustment rod and other parts. Clamps are riveted on both sides of the upper end of the brake shoe, and the return spring is used to pull the clamps against the support pin. The lower end of the brake shoe is pulled against the bottom plane of the straight grooves at both ends of the adjustable top rod body by the tension spring.
The brake has an interlocking equalization device for backing off and an automatic follow-up device for the pads, which can always keep the backing off of the pads on both sides equal and no adjustment is required, avoiding the phenomenon that the brake pad on one side floats against the brake wheel due to uneven backing off.
The main swing hinges are equipped with self-lubricating bearings, which have high transmission efficiency, long service life, and no lubrication is required during use.
The brake pad is a card-mounted integral molding structure, which is easy and quick to replace.

In order to maintain good braking efficiency, an optimal gap value needs to be maintained between the brake shoe and the brake drum. As the friction lining wears, the gap between the brake shoe and the brake drum increases, and a mechanism for adjusting the gap is required. Modern car drum brakes usually use automatic adjustment, and the gap between the friction lining and the brake drum will be automatically adjusted after the friction lining wears.
