The electro-hydraulic drum brake is a type of drum brake that uses an electro-hydraulic actuator as the opening drive device. It is a device used to slow down or stop mechanisms or machines, and sometimes it is also used to regulate or limit the movement speed of mechanisms or machines. This brake uses the brake wheel as the brake pair. During braking, the compression spring releases elastic potential energy, pushing the lever mechanism and causing two symmetrically arranged brake pads to radially grip the brake wheel, generating a braking torque. Currently, most of the working brakes used in the lifting and traveling mechanisms of cranes are electric-hydraulic drum brakes. The power-hydraulic drum brake has a compact structure, smooth braking, is safe and reliable, has a high operating frequency, and the brake and brake couple are subjected to uniform force.
Electric hydraulic drum brakes are classified into straight arm structure, double bent arm structure, single bent arm structure and bent arm structure according to the shape characteristics of the brake arm. Springs are classified into horizontal springs and vertical springs according to their installation forms. According to the braking process, it is divided into single-step braking and two-step braking. According to the installation method, it can be divided into vertical installation and horizontal installation. According to different structural forms and drive devices, there are dozens of models of electric-hydraulic drum brakes, such as YWZ, YWZ3, YWZ4, YWZ5, YWZ9, etc.
