|
Release brake (run) |
Compressed air supply: 0.5~0.7 MPa |
Air pressure pushes the piston to overcome the spring tension, the brake caliper opens, the friction pads separate from the brake disc, and the rotating shaft turns freely. |
|
Brake (braking) |
Gas supply stopped / Loss of pressure |
Internal springs rebound instantly, clamping the friction plate against the brake disc. The rotating shaft is locked by friction and braking is completed within 0.25 seconds. |
|
Emergency Response |
Power failure, gas cutoff, emergency stop signal |
The cylinder rapidly exhausts, the spring rebounds and clamps within ≤0.25 seconds, and automatic full braking prevents the equipment from overspeeding. |
II. Core Structural Components
The QP brake consists of two main parts: the brake frame and the pneumatic cylinder:
Pneumatic air bladder (cylinder) - Power unit; Types A and B have different air bladder volumes, which determine the operating speed.
Brake spring assembly - Source of braking force; the number of springs can be increased or decreased to achieve four-stage adjustment of braking torque.
Lever brake caliper frame - Caliper clamping structure with uniform force distribution and high rigidity.
Snap-in friction pads - Asbestos-free eco-friendly material; spring-loaded snap-in design for quick replacement.
Gap adjustment mechanism - Screw adjustment of the gap between the friction pad and the brake disc, with automatic compensation after wear.
Mounting base bracket - Supports horizontal/vertical installation; symmetrical arrangement of multiple units can multiply the braking torque.

IV. Core Product Advantages
Intrinsic Safety: Automatic braking upon air cutoff, preventing load slippage and runaway for heavy-duty equipment
Adjustable Torque: Add or remove springs / adjust preload to achieve 4 levels of torque adjustment per unit
Minimal Maintenance: Friction pads feature quick-release clips for fast removal; clearance is fine-tuned via screw rod
Excellent Heat Dissipation: Disc structure offers far superior heat dissipation compared to drum type, resisting thermal fade during continuous braking
Universal Air Supply: Directly connects to existing workshop air compressor stations, requiring no additional power source
Flexible Installation: Can be mounted at any circumferential angle; symmetrical arrangement of multiple units multiplies the torque capacity
