Method for adjusting the working stroke of the thruster

Adjustment Steps:

Release the spring force: First, release the spring force to the minimum value, then rotate the pull rod to put the brake in the engaged state.

Measure the stroke: In the engaged state, the thruster push rod rises. The adjustment is complete when the rising height reaches 1/3 of the thruster's rated stroke. For example, for a thruster with a rated stroke of 50mm, the working stroke should be adjusted to approximately 15-17mm.

Adjustment Method:

Loosen the anti-loosening nut.

Tightening the brake pull rod clockwise increases the thruster compensation stroke.

Loosening the brake pull rod counterclockwise decreases the compensation stroke.

Adjust the compensation stroke hc to the specified value.

Adjustment Method:

Manually or electrically open the brake and observe the clearance of the left and right brake pads.

If the right side clearance is greater than the left side, loosen the left side locking nut and rotate the adjusting bolt clockwise (or loosen the right side locking nut and rotate the adjusting bolt counterclockwise).

Observe the change in the left and right brake pad clearance and continue adjusting until they are equal.

The equalizing lever should be in a roughly horizontal position; otherwise, the position of the brake base needs to be moved so that the center line of the brake roughly coincides with the center line of the brake wheel.

Adjustment Method:

Tightening the torque adjustment nut clockwise shortens the spring length and increases the braking torque.

Loosening the torque adjustment nut counterclockwise lengthens the spring and decreases the braking torque.

Note: The spring length must not exceed the upper and lower indicator lines on the torque scale; otherwise, it may damage the spring and cause the brake to malfunction.
