Five precautions for brakes

Aug 06, 2020

The deceleration or parking of the vehicle during driving is done by the driver through the operation of the braking system. Therefore, the correct use of brakes is a prerequisite for driving safety, and it has a direct impact on reducing tire wear and extending the service life of brake components.

Five precautions for brakes:

1. Drivers are not allowed to drive in slippers.

2. When the vehicle is driving on roads or platforms such as rain, snow, ice, etc., emergency braking is not allowed to avoid sideslip.

3. Under normal circumstances, the operation method of braking and stopping without using a clutch is not allowed.

4. Reversing is not allowed in place of braking (except in emergency situations).

5. When using the parking brake, you must first use the service brake to brake the car, and then use the parking brake. When using the parking brake, do not use excessive force to prevent the push rod body and the guard rod from falling off and jam the brake shoe. It is strictly forbidden to use the parking brake during operation, but when the service brake fails and the vehicle needs to be stopped in an emergency, the parking brake can also be used for emergency parking. When parking, the parking brake must be applied.
