Components of hydraulic brake system

Aug 06, 2020

The hydraulic brake system includes the following components:

1. The hydraulic brake master cylinder storage tank contains brake fluid for the hydraulic brake system.

2. The hydraulic master cylinder converts mechanical input force into hydraulic output pressure.

3. The hydraulic output pressure is distributed from the master cylinder to two hydraulic oil circuits, thereby supplying oil for the diagonally separated wheel brake oil circuits.

4. The hydraulic brake pressure balance control system adjusts the brake fluid pressure transmitted to the wheel hydraulic brake oil circuit to control the distribution of braking force. Pressure balance control is achieved through dynamic rear wheel braking force proportional distribution (DRP), which is a function of the anti-lock braking system regulator.

5. The hydraulic brake pipe and flexible brake hose make the brake fluid flow through the components of the hydraulic brake system.

6. The hydraulic brake wheel engagement component converts hydraulic input pressure into mechanical output force.

The mechanical force is converted into oil pressure by the master cylinder, and adjusted to the hydraulic pressure required by the brake system by the pressure balance control system, and is delivered to the wheel oil circuit of the hydraulic brake system through the brake pipe and hose. Then, the wheel brake components convert the oil pressure back to mechanical force, so that the brake linings compress the rotating parts of the brake system.
