The SBD overhead crane brake mechanism is a high-power braking device used on low-speed shafts (drum shafts), and can be widely applied to the emergency safety braking of low-speed shafts in large and medium-sized cranes, port handling machinery lifting, and boom hoisting mechanisms. Working braking and emergency safety braking for mine winches, hoists and high-power inclined belt conveyors, safety braking for the drive mechanisms of cable cars and cable-stayed cranes, and safety (emergency) braking for the low-speed shafts of the hoisting mechanisms of special cranes such as casting cranes.

SBD-C Industrial Safety Brakes

The rotating element in a disc Brakes's friction pair is a metal disc working on its end faces, called a Brakes disc. The friction elements clamp the disc from both sides, producing braking. The fixed element has various structural forms, and SBD-C Industrial Safety Brakes can generally be categorized as caliper disc and full disc.

SBD-C Industrial Safety Brakes are hydraulically controlled, with the main components including the Brakes disc, wheel cylinder, caliper, and oil pipe. SBD-C Industrial Safety Brakes offer rapid heat dissipation, light weight, simple construction, and easy adjustment. Pay attention to the operating environment: Although the brake is highly adaptable to the environment, it is still necessary to ensure that the ambient temperature, humidity, and other conditions on site are within their rated operating range.


Utilize safety options: For equipment with a high degree of automation or extremely high safety requirements, it is strongly recommended to configure brake opening limit switches and pad wear limit switches. These switches provide real-time feedback to the control system on the brake status (such as whether it is opening normally or whether the friction pads need replacement), enabling predictive maintenance and interlocking safety protection to prevent operation during fault conditions.
