QP Pneumatic Caliper Brake

QP calipers can be used with any JINGU series thrusters, and have a patented linkage mechanism to ensure uniform liner wear.

Usually one or two calipers are used per brake disc, but the number may increase, depending on the size of the brake disc. The brake can be positioned at any angle around the periphery of the brake disc, but it is best to install it horizontally (ie at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock). If the angle between the caliper installation angle and the horizontal direction is greater than 10°, or in vertical axis applications, an inclined installation kit or balance link should be equipped. Twiflex offers a range of brake discs (see brake discs and wheel hub assemblies).

For pneumatic operation, use dry, filtered and unlubricated compressed air. Pneumatic brakes require a control valve, which can be operated manually or by pneumatic or electrical signals.

The ratings shown in the chart are based on fully embedded and adjusted brake pads with a nominal coefficient of friction μ = 0.4. Twiflex disc brakes must be used together with Twiflex non-asbestos brake pads.
