The working principle of emergency brake

The emergency brake is used on the low-speed side of the crane and must provide sufficient torque to overcome low-speed faults such as gearbox, coupling or other transmission faults. It is useless to effectively make VFD and high-speed stop/hold brakes to prevent the load from falling. Therefore, the emergency brake must be installed on the drum and provide the required torque to prevent the load from falling.
