General Operating Conditions (Applicable to Full Series)
Ambient Temperature: -20°C to +50°C (some specifications indicate down to -25°C)
Relative Humidity: ≤90%
Power Supply: 3-phase AC 380V / 50Hz (custom voltages available)
Medium: No flammable, explosive, or highly corrosive gases in the surrounding environment; select anti-corrosion models for outdoor or corrosive service conditions
Installation: Normally closed; spring-applied braking on power failure, released by thruster upon energization
Brake Lining: Asbestos-free cartridge type; hinge points fitted with self-lubricating bearings, maintenance-free (no lubrication required)

Execution Standards
YWZ4: Mounting dimensions per JB/ZQ4388; technical specifications per JB/T 6406
YWZ5 / YWZ9: Mounting and torque per GB/T 6333 (formerly GB6333-86); technical specifications per JB/T 6406
Thrusters: Ed series compliant with DIN15430; YT1 compliant with JB/T 10603
Three Key Points for Model Selection
Higher torque is not always better: Select based on the hoisting mechanism's static torque multiplied by a safety factor (typically ≥1.5). Excessively high torque may cause shock loads, while insufficient torque risks load slippage.
Wheel diameter must match the crane's brake wheel diameter exactly (e.g., select the -300 specification for an existing 300 mm brake wheel).
YWZ4 paired with YT1 offers lower cost but reduced protection (typical IP rating); pairing with Ed provides IP65 protection and requires no lubrication. For new projects, it is recommended to use the Ed version of YWZ4 or upgrade to YWZ5/9.
