Brake check

For cranes in normal use, check the brakes every shift.

The inspection content includes: whether the brake hub parts are intact, the friction pair contact and separation gap, the brake reliability, and the overall brake function should be flexible and free from jamming.

For each lifting operation (especially the lifting of heavy, large, and precise objects), lift the lifting object from the ground for a short period of time, repair, and confirm that the braking function is reliable and can be controlled.

The main points of brake safety inspection are:

(1) The brake friction surface of the brake wheel must not have any defects or oil stains that hinder the braking force;

(2) The degree of wear of the brake band or brake shoe friction material;

(3) The actual contact area between the brake belt or brake shoe and the brake wheel should not be less than 70% of the theoretical contact area;

(4) The brake should meet the working frequency of the heat capacity without overheating;

(5) The operating position of the control brake (such as pedals, operating handles, etc.) should have anti-slip function;
