Explosion-proof Electric Hydraulic Thruster
All elements of the hydraulic drive system are combined in ELDRO's electro-hydraulic thrusters to produce a compact assembly. When closed, the hydraulic piston with the piston rod is located at its lower end. When switched on, the hydraulic pump pumps the working fluid under the piston and generates hydraulic pressure there. This will move the piston up to the maximum stroke path. In doing so, the reaction force generated by the integrated brake or return spring or external load (such as brake) must be overcome safely.
The maximum travel path of the equipment can be arbitrarily limited externally. This can happen if the brake to be operated requires only a reduced travel path to fully open. In the corresponding piston end position, due to the hydraulic law, the power consumption of the motor is reduced compared to the power consumed during the lifting process. The pressure in the equipment reaches its maximum here. Therefore, the drive motor is released in the rest position of the piston. Mechanical overload of the equipment is impossible.
