Notice On Adjusting Working Hours in High Temperature Weather

Jul 15, 2025

High temperatures will persist in the coming days. As of today, the working hours will be adjusted as follows:
The working hours will be from morning until noon, and the afternoon will be off for rest.
Please ensure that all department heads make proper work arrangements to guarantee the smooth operation of production and business, and prepare for heatstroke prevention and emergency response plans.

The following is a guide to heatstroke prevention measures compiled from multiple authoritative sources, covering protection suggestions for both the general and special groups, as well as first aid methods for heatstroke:

I. General Heatstroke Prevention Measures

Adjust travel and activities

  • Avoid going out during the high-temperature period (10:00-16:00), especially when the sun is directly overhead.
  • When going out, wear light-colored, loose and breathable clothes, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and use sunscreen (SPF30+).
  • Reduce intense exercise such as running and mountain climbing, and take regular breaks in the shade.

Scientific hydration and diet

  • Drink water in small amounts frequently: At least 1.5 to 2 liters per day. When sweating a lot, supplement with light salt water or electrolyte drinks (such as sports drinks), and avoid alcoholic and sugary drinks.
  • Have a light diet: Eat more heat-clearing foods such as watermelon, cucumber and mung bean soup, and less greasy and spicy food. Traditional Chinese medicine recommends medicinal diets such as plum cooling Drink and lotus leaf porridge.

Indoor cooling and environmental regulation

  • It is recommended that the air conditioner temperature be between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius to avoid sudden temperature changes. Open Windows regularly for ventilation and use sunshades to reduce direct sunlight.
  • Auxiliary cooling: Use a fan in combination with ice cubes or a wet towel to enhance heat dissipation and prevent cold air from blowing directly.

II. Protection for Special Groups
Patients with chronic diseases

  • Cardiovascular diseases: Avoid going out in high temperatures. The air conditioner temperature should not be lower than 25℃. Pay attention to emotional stability and regular rest.
  • Diabetic patients: Choose low-sugar fruits (such as strawberries), carry candies with you to prevent hypoglycemia, and store insulin away from heat.
  • Respiratory diseases: Avoid coughing or asthma caused by sudden temperature changes and carry emergency medicine with you at all times.

The elderly, pregnant women and children

  • Try to stay at home during the hot period and keep the environment cool. Children must not be left alone in the vehicle.
  • The elderly need to keep in touch with their families and pay attention to indicators such as blood pressure and heart rate.

Outdoor workers

  • The employer needs to adjust the working hours (such as morning and evening work), provide heatstroke prevention beverages (such as mung bean soup) and medicines (Ten Drops of Water, Huoxiang Zhengqi Water).
  • Take a 15-30 minute break every 1-2 hours and wear protective equipment.

III. First Aid Measures for Heatstroke
Identify symptoms of heatstroke

  • Premonitory heatstroke: dizziness, thirst, excessive sweating, and inattention (body temperature <38℃).
  • Severe heatstroke: High fever (>40℃), no sweating, coma, etc. Immediate medical attention is required.

First aid steps

  • Move: Move to a shady place, lie flat and unbutton your clothes.
  • Wipe: Apply cold water to the neck, armpits and other areas with major blood vessels, or use ice packs for cold compresses.
  • For those who are conscious, give them light salt water. For those who are unconscious, do not give them water.
