Common oil leakage sites
Disc brake oil leakage can directly lead to brake system failure. Oil leakage is common in four locations:
(1) The connection between the oil pipe and the main oil cylinder and the auxiliary oil cylinder, due to wear and tear, the gap increases or the fixing screws are not tightened, causing oil leakage.
(2) The brake hydraulic oil pipeline is cracked and aged, causing oil leakage.
(3) The sealing gasket of the main oil cylinder oil storage chamber cover is aged, deformed or damaged, causing oil leakage, or the screws are loose and not tightened.
(4) The pump seal on the main oil cylinder plunger is aged, damaged or axially moved, causing oil leakage from the tail.
Troubleshooting methods
For reason (1), replace the worn parts, tighten the screws, and apply sealant to the contact surfaces and threads to achieve complete sealing.
For reason (2), replace the oil pipe.
For reason (3), replace the sealing gasket (also known as the sealing diaphragm) and tighten the edge nail.
For reason (4), replace the oil seal with a new one, and install a suitable spring in front of the plunger oil seal to support it and prevent it from moving axially, thereby achieving a more complete sealing effect.
